Delete your account

Where your account lives
This page covers the snug app for Android and iOS, published on Google Play by FELT Org, and snug in a browser or the desktop app. Your account isn't held by the snug team. It lives on the snug server your group runs, and each snug server keeps its own accounts, so deleting one leaves the others alone.
Delete it yourself
On any phone, computer, or browser still signed in to that snug server, open Settings, then Account. Choose delete my account and confirm with Delete account forever. Deletion happens at once and can't be undone.
What is deleted
Your account, profile and photo, messages and replies, reactions, poll and plan contributions, files, custom emoji, private settings, and feedback you sent that server's admins. Every device's sign-in stops working, and the server stops sending notifications to your phones.
What stays
Messages other people wrote stay, including their replies to yours. An anonymous record keeps the server's moderation and administration history consistent. Copies someone downloaded, and the server's backups, remain until their owner removes them; the person who runs the server can tell you how long its backups last.
The snug notification relay keeps no account record, and its sealed delivery routes expire within 30 days. On Android, deleting the account doesn't remove the Firebase installation identifier described in the mobile privacy policy.
If you can't sign in anymore
Write to the person who runs that snug server. An admin can deactivate your account, which ends its sign-in on every device, and delete the messages and files you point out. Removing everything listed above in one step needs a device that is still signed in, because that device is the only proof the account is yours.
The snug team can't reach into a server another group runs. For anything the snug team itself holds, such as email you sent us, write to admin@feltorg.com.
